Overview

Your Profile is your personal settings hub within Auction Excellence. From here, you can update your profile photo, change your password, view your assigned locations, and configure how you receive notifications.

Accessing Your Profile

Open the Profile Tab

Tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation bar. It’s the rightmost tab with a person icon.

View Your Profile

The profile screen displays your:
  • Avatar (profile photo or initials)
  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Member since date
  • Location count

Personalize your account with a profile photo that appears throughout the app and helps your teammates identify you.

Changing Your Profile Photo

Tap Your Avatar

On the Profile screen, tap your circular profile photo or initials at the top.

Choose an Option

An action sheet appears with two options:

Take PhotoUse your camera to capture a new photo
Choose from LibrarySelect an existing photo from your device
On first use, you may need to grant camera or photo library permissions when prompted.

Capture or Select

If taking a photo:
  • Position yourself in the camera viewfinder
  • Tap the shutter button to capture
  • You can retake if needed
If choosing from library:
  • Browse your photo albums
  • Tap a photo to select it

Crop Your Photo

The image editor opens with a square crop area. Adjust the crop to center your face, then confirm.

Wait for Upload

Your photo is automatically:
  1. Compressed and optimized (256×256 pixels)
  2. Uploaded to secure storage
  3. Updated across all your devices
A loading indicator shows the upload progress. When complete, you’ll see a success message.

Where Your Avatar Appears

Your profile photo is displayed in several places:
  • Profile screen header
  • Chat messages you send
  • Team member lists viewed by others
  • Admin dashboard (for administrators viewing your profile)
Choose a clear, recognizable photo — it helps teammates quickly identify who’s sending messages and submissions.

Troubleshooting Photo Upload

Symptoms: Progress bar stops, error message appears.Solutions:
  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Try a smaller or different image
  3. Ensure you have granted photo permissions
  4. Close and reopen the app, then try again
Symptoms: Uploaded photo looks pixelated or unclear.Solutions:
  • Use a higher resolution source image
  • Take a new photo with good lighting
  • Ensure the camera lens is clean
Symptoms: Cannot access camera when tapping “Take Photo”.Solutions:
  1. Open device Settings
  2. Find Auction Excellence
  3. Enable Camera permission
  4. Return to the app and try again
Symptoms: Cannot see photos when tapping “Choose from Library”.Solutions:
  1. Open device Settings
  2. Find Auction Excellence
  3. Enable Photos permission (choose “All Photos” for full access)
  4. Return to the app and try again

Change Password

Keep your account secure by updating your password regularly.

Navigate to Change Password

On the Profile screen, tap Change Password in the Account section.

Enter Current Password

Type your existing password to verify your identity.

Enter New Password

Create a new password with at least 8 characters.
Use a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols for a stronger password.

Confirm New Password

Re-enter your new password to confirm it matches.

Submit

Tap Update Password. You’ll see a success message when complete.

If you forget your password, use the “Forgot Password?” link on the login screen to reset it via email.

Assigned Locations

View the locations where you’re authorized to submit lot counts, quality inspections, and other data.

Viewing Your Locations

Tap Assigned Locations

On the Profile screen, tap Assigned Locations in the Account section. The number shows your total location count.

Browse Your Locations

The locations list displays each location with:
  • Location name
  • Operating hours
  • Active/Inactive status

If you need access to additional locations, contact your administrator.

Notification Preferences

Control whether you receive push notifications for submission reminders and chat messages.

Enabling/Disabling Notifications

Find the Toggle

On the Profile screen, locate Push Notifications in the Preferences section.

Toggle On or Off

Tap the switch to enable (green) or disable notifications.
Push notifications require a physical device. This feature is unavailable on simulators.

System Permission Requirements

For push notifications to work, you must also enable them in your device settings:
  1. Open device Settings
  2. Find Auction Excellence
  3. Tap Notifications
  4. Enable Allow Notifications
If notifications are disabled at the system level, the in-app toggle won’t send notifications. A warning appears in the app if this is detected.

When notifications are enabled:

Signing Out

Log out of your account when needed.

Tap Sign Out

Scroll to the bottom of the Profile screen and tap the red Sign Out button.

Confirm

A confirmation dialog appears. Tap Sign Out to confirm.

Return to Login

You’ll be redirected to the login screen. Your local session is cleared.
Signing out removes your session from this device only. You can sign back in anytime with your email and password.
